Sport Clubs are comprised of individuals who have a desire to compete or participate in a sport throughout their college career. Many sport clubs are created because students' talent, dedication to the sport and interest create a strong demand for options other than varsity athletics or because no varsity team exists. Each club's level of activity is unique and ranges from local to national intercollegiate competition. The program is administered by the Assistant Director for Sport Clubs and the Coordinator for Sport Clubs.
Sport Clubs continue to grow primarily due to strong student leadership. Each club is represented on the Sport Clubs Council and is organized into a tier system reflecting their level of activity. Visit Campus Recreation for more information on sports clubs.
