The McNair Scholars Program prepares participants for doctoral studies through involvement in research and scholarly activities.

Participants must be first-generation college students with a demonstrated financial need or students typically underrepresented in higher education, and have demonstrated strong academic potential.Ten to fifteen new McNair Scholars are selected each year to participate in the Program.
