National Hispanic Scholars

NEBRASKA is committed attracting the best and brightest from across the nation. In this effort, we have created a special scholarship for students that have received finalist status with the National Hispanic Recognition Program. NEBRASKA is one of the premier institutions in attracting National Hispanic Scholars; last year almost 300 scholars applied to NEBRASKA.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Finalists in the National Hispanic Recognition Program upon admission to NEBRASKA automatically receive Full tuition plus $2,000, renewable for up to four years. Other scholarships may be available however; you must apply by January 15, 2009 to be eligible.

Academy of National Hispanic Scholars

The University of Nebraska is one of the few institutions to have a recognized honorary society for current National Hispanic Scholars. This student organization serves an academic and social organization that focuses on the needs of Latinos in education.

University Honors Program

A program of opportunity, the University Honors Program at NEBRASKA allows high-achieving students to experience the excitement of a major research university within a community of scholars.

500 Textbook Scholarships in the amount of $250 per semester, fall and spring semesters only, for up to 135 credit hours, four years, or the completion of bachelor's degree, whichever comes first.
