Scholarship Programs

UNL | Admissions | Scholarship Programs

Learning takes place outside of the classroom as well as inside it.  This happens by bringing together students with diverse backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and social perspectives. The UNL faculty and staff seek to create a stimulating and dynamic environment for living and learning. Working and living on a diverse campus is essential to preparing all students for positions of leadership in our diverse society of the 21st Century.

These scholarships seek to identify and attract talented student scholars who have demonstrated knowledge and experience in diverse communities or backgrounds and are prepared to use this knowledge to contribute to the education of their fellow students.

The following criteria will be used in the Diversity Enhancement Scholarship selection:

Academic Preparedness (ACT/SAT scores, GPA, class rank, etc.)

Demographic Diversity (geographic, first-generation, low-income, single family household)

Life experiences or involvement living or working in diverse organizations or communities
