A complete application from an international undergraduate applicant
should include:
- A complete and signed application. Use the same
ordering of names on all correspondence and documents as listed
on your passport. A complete listing of colleges and majors can
be found at http://admissions.unl.edu/majors.

- A $45 non refundable application fee. The
applicant's full name must appear on the check or money order,
made payable to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Please do not
send cash or overseas drafts. Applicants may pay by credit card when first submitting
the online application.
- Secondary school records or transcripts. Submit
original high school or secondary education transcripts or mark
sheets with certificates or diploma in native language. Also, submit
official literal English translations of all records. A document is official if it has the original seal/stamp of the issuing institution or government authority. Photocopies
of certified records cannot be used. All documents submitted become the property of UNL and will not be returned.
- College or University transcripts. If applicant
attended an institution of higher education, he or she must submit
original transcripts or mark sheets with certificates or diploma
in native language. Must be official from the issuing institution.
Also submit official literal English translations of all records.

- SAT Examination Scores Not Required - Recommended. Use our
school code to send your test score to the University. Nebraska's
school code is 6877. Visit www.collegeboard.com to
learn more about the SAT examination.
- Native Language other than English. UNL wants students to be successful in their course work and active participants in the educational experience. Therefore, undergraduate students whose native language (or language of nurture) is not English need to demonstrate English proficiency for full academic admission into UNL and their desired major. A list of acceptable exams and scores is available at English Proficiency Requirements.
- Financial Resources Certification. International students seeking
an I-20 for an F1 visa,
including those attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln,
must provide evidence of adequate financial resources. You
must document sources of support (personal funds or sponsoring
organization or individual). Your sponsor must sign the document and submit a letter from the bank stating the amount of money available in the bank account.
Estimated Academic Year Expenses for International Students. These
figures indicate the estimated cost of attendance for the 9 month
academic year. The cost of summer school tuition, fees, and living
expenses are optional and not included in these figures.
