The Paul Robitschek Czech Study Program providesscholarships to undergraduate students from universities or institutions ofhigher learning in the Czech Republic so that they may fully participate inAmerican life while studying at the University of Nebraska for two academicsemesters - approximately 9 months.
The program has been established to benefit students who have a serious commitmentto experiencing American democracy and for whom studying in America might nototherwise be economically possible. It was the intent of the Donor to ensurethat the recipients of the Scholarship gain in deeper understanding of the democraticway of life. To do so, it is expected of the recipients to enter this educationalexperience with an open mind and to be enthusiastically receptive to the differentinfluences to which they will be exposed in and out of the classroom.
Further, it was the Donor's hope that by doing so, the experience will helpto enrich their lives and contribute the their ability to take up positionsof leadership within the Czech Republic.
