In-state Transfer Scholarships

Scholarship candidates are reviewed based on academic record and leadership and involvement at their previous institutions.

Please submit apersonal statement using the provided pdf form to highlight your leadership and involvement at your current school. Your personal statement will be used to award the Transfer Regents, Phi Theta Kappa and General Transfer Scholarships. The personal statement should be sent to the Office of Admissions, 1410 Q Street, Lincoln,NE 68588-0417. To be considered for these scholarships, a candidate must:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Complete a minimum of 45 credit hours at Nebraska Community College (Regents Scholarship only).

Students wanting to be considered for scholarships must submit all materials by March 1 for the summer/fall semesters and by October 1 for the spring semester.

Transfer Scholarships

Regents Scholarship
Full tuition for up to 4 semesters or completion of an undergraduate degree, whichever comes first. Requires a 1-page personal statement.

Transfer Student Scholarship
From $1,000. Requires a 1-page personal statement.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
$500, one year only. Requires membership in Phi Theta Kappa and a 1-page personal statement.


Honors Program Scholarship
In addition, Transfer students are encouraged to apply to the Honors Program using the application on the Admissions website. A limited number of students receive a $500 scholarship toward required books. Apply here.
